Workshop #2

Overview

This workshop helps students understand what “big feelings” are and what to do when emotions feel loud, fast, or heavy. We talk about how big feelings like anger, worry, sadness, and frustration are normal. Students practice noticing their emotions, calming their bodies, and trying different coping tools in a supportive space.

Throughout the session, we remind students that there are no wrong feelings and that they can always take a break if they need one. The goal is to help them feel confident using healthy strategies when emotions get big.

What Students Will Learn

• What big feelings are and how they can feel
• That feelings like anger, worry, and sadness are normal
• How to notice and check in with their emotions
• Simple coping tools to calm their body (breathing, drawing, fidgeting)
• How to choose strategies that work best for them
